Magnifying Glass or a Sieve which one you want to be this year.

Confronting us from every turn, flowing from every imaginable source, information defines our world.

From facebook, twitter, newspapers, TV and many varied sources, we are bombarded with information, every minute, every hour, and every day. When information is so abundant, the need of the hour is not to miss out but to choose what to focus our attention on.

To figure out what is the place for all these sources. What is important and how it fits in your goals?

So for the coming year, resolve to do just that. Focus on what's important. Restrict the information overload. Concentrate. A concentrated mind magnifies impact. A scattered mind like a sieve retains nothing.

And before I close for the year end, Thank you all for reading the blog and wish you a brighter and better new year ahead.

Life without Aim !!!!

Day 1 :
Someone from an University called me and asked guidance about Avionics. He said that he is doing research from last 7-8 years but he is not able to connect with right person who can help him in converting his vision into reality.

He told me that he meet with engineers of various DRDO laboratories but didn't get any response. Add on to it he also told me that he looks forward to connect with right person in the industry who can support his project and give direction in a positive way.

Day 2:
After my AeSI Alumni Association's meeting, I meet him. We ordered fresh juice with sandwich and our discussion started. I was very excited to meet this person and to know more about his research. Trust me he was very energetic and I was able to see a "Can Do!" spirit in his face.

BUT suddenly my expectations turned into ashes.

Based on his projects, I found that he is very much interested in Aircraft Navigation, Instruments and related Avionics. I asked him if you love Avionics and want to make your career in Avionics so why are you doing internship in CFD ?

He replied that my college told me to do the same.

I don't want to name such universities but yes, I know 2-3 universities in North India where I have noticed similar education pattern. Irrespective of the area of interest, students join some softwares and after finishing the course, they realized that it's nothing to do with my area of interest.

Conclusion : Let's walk together and help the industry. Whenever you see something wrong or fraud anywhere, Stand and raise your voice. Be United !!!

God bless all

India Vs China

Have you played a famous game NFS ever?
NFS stands for Need For Speed. Isn't it?
According to me it should be need for security. Let me tell you the reason behind it.

Couple of days back, Over 100 UFOs were seen along China border. The officials confirmed that these UFOs were not Chinese drones or satellites and it was non-metallic.
http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2012-11-06/india/34948052_1_ufos-china-border-itbp

Should we keep quite like what we did four-five years before? or Should we focus more on security & safety aspects?

One can't deny with a fact that UFO in China has 'military connection'.
Let's look at this article in support of my words.
http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2010-07-09/china/28306261_1_ufo-ningbo-nearby-airports

Let's share your feedback as a comment. Do you think that there is a NEED FOR SECURITY ?

Intelligent Vs Fool !!!!!

Greetings,

Couple of days back I've posted below mentioned question in Aeronautical Society of India's Facebook page (not official) and I got strange replies as a comment which I'm sharing it here.

Post : Does being an engineer mean working on industry softwares, testing & verifying it to a specific standard?
Let us know your definition of an ENGINEER?

Replies :
# common lives by wat nature gives him. But an engineer lives by taking wat he wants from nature & he will mould it as he wants.
# An engineer is a person who does any work that simplifies life!!
# Invent new machines for development and prosperity, engineer is the one with a lot of whys.
# Engineer is a Person who is dedicated to pushing the frontiers for scientific and engineering excellence.
# How many young engineers are getting the chance of dedicating their lives to Research and Development ???
# i am doing my engineering not for the sake of job and not for the sake of salaray . i want to prove my self to the world what iam and who iam . definetly there will be one day i will make history.

Another set of replies & discussion :
A : one who graduates from aesi is the real engineer. rest r mechanics
B : @A What do you know about mechanics.. ? I am a mechanic.
H : for the comment of Engineers Vs Mechanics ... We should respect each others profession.
A : @H And sorry, I cant respect AMEs. (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering)

I don't want to comment on the above discussion. Let's discuss and let MyAeSI know it it right ?
Shouldn't we respect AMEs and other professions?
I agree that AeSI teaches us a lot and gives us expertise in theory concepts but it doesn't mean that others are fool and they don't know anything.

I might be wrong henceforth requesting you to please share your experience/feedback as a comment.

Refresh your study techniques for AeSI exams in an hour

We all use these techniques one or all at one point of time. I certainly used many though never called them with those names. Having this techniques available on YouTube is great.

One can easily pick them and keep them in his or her study arsenal.

AeSI exams are first approaching, I think its a best time for AeSI students to visit this YouTube page and spend an hour to renew these study techniques.

<p>Received the following comment on one of the post on my-aesi.</p>
<p>"Sir currently am std in bangalore 1st year so i wants to shift chennai my fnds says its better to join in GIE and some of them says hindustan university with perfect labs and........ So it has hostal facilities but in GIE provides best study but not above of them so plz clarify my dout in both of them which is better."</p>

Skills Development !

Greetings,
Today I read a very nice article in a local newspaper and I'm sure it's going to help us henceforth I'm sharing the conclusion of it here...

There are two ways to get a job

1. Make a very impressive resume in order to ensure that you receive an interview call.
2. Develop skills & apply

Second option sounds difficult but it helps a lot in the long run. I do agree that degree matters a lot however most of the companies give importance to talent.

Here I would like to relate the above said facts with AeSI's life....

I've seen many students in frustration & tension because of having marks less than 60%. I know that 60% matters a lot however it doesn't mean that if you have marks below 60% so you can't do anything in your life. Where there's a will, there's a way and taking tension about marks can never solve your problems.

Let's try the second approach this time

1. Develop skills e.g. software related to your industry.
2. Join Social Networks like LinkedIn.
3. Join groups related to the technology in which you are interested.
4. Be silent and just observe, what people are talking in such groups? What are the real time problems? And what are the solutions?
5. Learn new things every day because every day is a new day in life.
6. Once you feel that you're good in technology, start to post comments, take part in group conversation.

Benefit: There might be few recruiting managers who can recruit you or there might be any technical manager or project leader who can refer you in their companies. Trust me this approach is very effective.

Let's discuss!
