Challenging project

This project of predicting the off design performance of axial flow compressor is a challenging one. It makes you think, plan, and impliment. Matlab is great tool and i'll learn it fully.

My idea or way of learning

My way of learning is learn a few basic and them just jump in. And i learn the details as i swim through it. This approach has varied advantage as it will makes you think, stagnation is Out, u learn faster, and the initial interest is sparked and sustained. So jump in...

Two ideas for matlab

There are two ideas that i would like to hopkinent in matlab. One is to make a fully capable but simple expense manager, and another a sample slide slow program that can be used via a SImple text file.

Lesson learnt....

Yesterday i learnt a lesson on how to dimension the drawings. They should not be dimensioned in what i think is fine, but to what the machinist will see in the drawing? Drawing should bE drawn on how it will be machined.

My boss and leader

Today my boss showed us why he is a leader. Small frame but tall deeds and an unshakeable faith and attitude. This are the stuff of leaders and i'll consider myself successful if i can take this while i leave nal.

It may not be a secret but....

It may not be a secret for long but i heard my boss got an offer from infosys! and he rejected it, saying his set project is half complete, and he gets the job satisfaction he wants from this job

Plans after exam

My plan after the exam is to get into tigh compressor programming fully and learn all the tricks of the trade. As a final chapter to my NAL experience i want to develop something that NAL will use long after i have left it.

lateral thinking vs sequential thinking

What am i? a lateral thinker or a sequential thinker. Well kis just said i have traces of lateral thinker, and like everybody humans are a mix of both but only one dominates....

What-s working for kis

Well for some days kis is working good and what is the things that is working for him. ist he is focused on one topic, two he is not complaining of circumstances but keeping his mood on The right side and thirdly he is looking inside not others.

Grand hyatt challo

I admit there won't be gowns and no throwing of hats for that
picture, but hey its your graduating ceremony nevertheless.......
don't miss the even in Grand Hyatt in Mumbai this AGM on 2nd
December!!

I don't know about others, but every graduating member should go
to this important part of his or life. This event will come only once
in your life, don't miss it for some lousy cloths, my friends not
going so i won't go type or other flimsy reasons. This is the
culmination of all the hours that you have put in and all the
sacrifices you and your family did. Then why miss the climax when
the you have earned it.

I admit gown will be missing and it won't be extravagant as we see
in TV, but one thing i am sure it will be one you will remember
all your life, one that you will tell your ( maybe i am going far)
but to your grand children's!!

Well all i say if the reason is not very genuine, Grand Hyatt challo!!!!

for anyone who is interested in the venue and for the maps and
pictures of the venue please click this links.

My current work

My current work involves designing and developing a comp program to predict the performance of an axial flow compressor. Its new thing for me and i'll concentrate on it after exams.

Idea just popped up.....

An idea just popped. The name of the project is my mgt. Does it ring something..... yes just like everything... i would like to develop my own mgt. I have resources and i can certainly Devote sometime to it. My mgt for my room

Best way to learn...... software

Best way to learn software or for the matter anything is by enquiry. Be a child, ask lots of questions, don't bed motives to learn but learn to know. Keep the what-if question alive.

My first boss...

Its still unofficial now, that if i'm asked who is my first boss, the answer will be dr. srm. It'll be official when they will offer me pay. But even they don't, he will remain my FirsT boss.

Its still unofficial now, that if i'm asked who is my first boss, the answer will be dr. srm. It'll be official when they will offer me pay. But even they don't, he will remain my FirsT boss.

I would like to.....

My wishlist for my cad and design work is to create and develop one good and usefull thing for the mgt. I want to design something that will enhance its usefullness and that will be my Tribute to my boss.

A landmark day...part ii

Today, its another landmark in way that with this drawing i became directly involved with the work of my boss. This mgt project is his life's passion and with this drawing and fin design I got a chance to have my name in it.

A landmark day...

Today is a landmark day in my life as project trainee in NAL. Today i drew and designed one part of MGT and now in all the drawings of mgt my name also got added... landmark day coz this is t first instance my name is getting written on nal's document.

busiest day in nal

Today was my busiest day in nal. By this i mean, i didn't had time to even think and do anything personal. From the begining of the day my time was occupied by chores of my scientists.

materials i've seen

This is, i guess, a silly post but nevertheless i'm posting here the different types of materials i've seen. Iron, steel, titanium, aluminum, gold, silver, tin, nimonic, inconel, copper, and plastic.

Being Zorro part ii

For those who have not understood a single words of my last post, read no further this post is not for u. And for those who did, i'd say Zooro's strength doesn't lie in his shord but in Cover.

Being Zorro

I was recently in chen and there i say legend of zorro and that made me think that sometime its better if your identity is under cover than exposed. The cover gives u strength and unbiasness, whereas exposure turns your mind of t main topic to think how others may react.

Exam dates released....

For all those waiting for the exam dates, the wait is over. Aesi exams begins exactly on this very date next month, that is on 13 december. Not exactly a beautifull no. but here wishing U all good luck. prepare well and do your best

The next thing

My next post here will be on my completing 100Th in NAL. The draft is ready and will post it as soon i'm online.

See and you will find ocean

master.... and i've only mentionned most common application..... what's the use of knowing Catia when one finds power point daunting, whats t use of matlab when one struggles with c, ThE core of matlab.

See and you will find ocean...

Today i was talking to my senior and he said i'm lucky and he would have attended nal regularly if he had so many softwares in his comp that i have in my work comp. This made me think WHat abt ms excel. A tool one can spend an entire year to master.

Documentations makes it worthy

Read the previous post... this is the continuation.... so as i was saying or posting documentation makes a thing worthy, as i saw and learnt in NAL. The crude programs I suddenly looked Smart and polished as i was literally forced to document them.

One important i learnt from NAL

One important thing i learn't from nal or i can say, i would have never learnt if were not here is the importance of documentation. Working is good but without proper and good documentatIon its nothing but a piece of paper or code.

One cool idea...

One cool idea just popped into my mind. I'll now write one solid modelling program everyday and will create all small parts by it only. this will help me strengthen my cad skills....

mobile killed big posts

Is  my  mobile  killing  my  big  posts,  i  guess it  is. Though  it  gives  me the advantage of posting whenever i want and most importantly  in giving the instant reactions to events  but  its  killing this  long  posts  i like  so  much to  write.

In that  tiny  screen, i  do  like to  post  big  but  none of the phones i have tried  is  doing  it  right now,  so  till then i  have decided that  i Will use my Internet  time  writing this stuff than roaming here and there in cyberspace.

In  near  future I'm also planning to  get a pen drive and then i think, the post will be regular and more bigger as i can write them at  my  PC in office and  post them here.

Flash  is  surely  be a boon for me.

Sitting in net  doesn't  even  allow  the feelings  come  by and to  write them  so  i'll  write  from my  pc  now.  Got  lot to  tell.......

well this one is late

Well this one is bit late, but then they say, better late than never. So the news is now my computer has now one gb ram. one gb, that's half of hard disk space of my first computer.

I have been writing from my relieance mobile

For  all this  time  i have  posting  from my  reliance phone, my  primary  reason for  not  abandoning  the old so-common LG RD reliance Dirubhai Ambani]s first  model.  My  friends often taunt me to  change  it  but  the  day  this posting  facility  goes, I'll  move  on till then  i am  sticking to it  and you  better bear the updates  though  small  but  always there.

I  am  also  planning to write  one  from computer, this  was not  possible  because i was  busy  with my  work.  But  now  i promise to  write  at least  one big one. And  topics will range  from  this to  that.

Things that u shouldn't do in NAL

Don't ever skip the chance to be with your scientist, don't ever kill time chatting, and in gossip. Don't ever leave your computer unattended. Don't ever miss a chance to learn, and HeLp others

This is my thirteenth week in NAL, if i go. In the past twelve weeks i've been greatly rewarded in learning the tools of my industry. Working on live project, thinking on work and constant deadline made t work easier.

Avionics and catia part iii

Softwares are tools and they need to support to at your present and future work and not be just decoratives to one's resume... One need to build specific skills and not get caught up in Learning everything...

Avionics and catia part ii

smart move... its like jumping to a different train because your one is not moving, not a good example but explains the point. One should always learn the software which they can use aNd is related to one's field.

Avionics and catia

Was talking to a avionic guy today and he was planning to learn Catia. Nothing wrong in that, but learning a software just because many job ad are asking for it is not a smart move...

Hours update... part V

And most important thing of this month is study of vmd, which should take up all my time after, NAL. This should be my prority as future plans will depend on it....

Hours update... part iV

My plan for this month is to build my programming skills and concentrate on matlab and its feature. Keeping simulation as my goal, i'll carry forward in this software without distraction and with a goal purpose to help nal and my guide

Hours update... part iii

Visual basic is one software tool, that i've not began in NAL, though my core project will rest on it. I've began doing api programming of solid modelling which is similiar to vb. Though I am still yet to build an independent software to use this api.

Hours update... part ii

This year highest was once again in solidworks, followed by ansys and c. Another highlight was that i began my matlab practice again and now i've nine hours experience in it.

Hours update....

Although i was online for two hours today, but didn't update u about the hours which i intend to do now. The previous month software hour count stands at 82 hours, 2 hours lower than auw and lowest in the 3 months i.m in NAL.

Sometimes two posts....

Sometimes u may find two similar posts posted, this demonstrate and is the mark of my absent mind ness that i usually succumb... so please ignore them. i'm trying to minimize it.

Happy diwali

This year i-was supposed to be at home, but due to rainfall i'm here cooking in bang. Next year this time i'll be at home, and will have a ge pay for mum and gifts for sisters and dad.
